Kinda an indifferent day work wise. Didn't get a whole lot accomplished that was really relevant to what i get paid to do, but did have a long running discussion with

heddo98 on a fairly wide range of topics running from television and music through the reflection of the Divine within humanity; and helped CoryC troubleshoot a problem that had ended up in his inbox relating to a spontaneous power-down that was being reported by a handful (eight, i think) of users in the Czech Republic and Slovakia logging into the MS corporate network. Set up a pair of machines- one with a localized Czech interface, one with English Windows with the Czech multilanguage user interface- needed to rule out the operating system as a cause of the problem, even though all signs seemed to point to the users' login scripts. Anyway, i found that i still read a little bit of Czech here and there- and between those little bits and the bits Cory can understand from speaking a little Russian (there are some cognates, even if the languages use different character sets) we pretty much confirmed that it wasn't a Windows problem.
I miss troubleshooting weird issues almost as much as i like having conversations with interesting, intelligent people. Got to do both within the same day. Score!
