who_is_she and attended a monthly coffee in the deaf community. My sign vocabulary has greatly diminished, some of the ASL syntax sticks, but there are plates of rust everywhere. I'd definitely forgotten how much attention participating in a conversation in sign requires, but toward the end of the evening was following much if not most of the conversation on which i was on the periphery. It was a lot of fun, and with good company.
