given a nine digit number abcdefghi:
ab MUST be divisible by 2.
abc by 3
abcd by 4
and so on.
you have the whole numbers 1 through 9 to play with, no repeats, no using 0.

Note: ab is a number like 12, say. abc is a number like 123. not a*b, or a*b*c. sorry for the confusion
