My boss and i asked why not the 17", but E. said that'd just be extravagant.

I agree. Unless your a video professional there's just no reason for the 17". If I were going to get a laptop I'd probably go 15" and retain the portability. Really, though, I'd want a 12" and a DP G5.

Mmmmm, if you're gonna code or do audio work on it, I can imagine the 17" being worthwhile. I coded on a 15" for a while and would have loved a little more real estate.

Personally, i'd be more likely to invest in , a 28-80mm and an 80-200mm lens and bank, oh $1200; or and put away $1800....
