What a spectacular day
Aug. 2nd, 2002 12:34 pmWandering around Pike Place, Cap Hill and Pioneer Square eating raspberries, blackberries and strawberries is a highly recommended activity for a summer afternoon. So is watching the sun set over Elliott Bay, especially if it only takes seventy-eight cents to get the panhandlers to go away.
Seeing the reconstruction of the Pergola is an amazing thing. So is amusing photographers sitting in Pioneer Square with their Hasselblads amidst displays of art running the gamut of media from things which looked to be produced by rank amateurs all the way up to some stunningly executed images.
Drinking double-bergamot Earl Grey tea and listening to Tori Amos the next day is also a good thing.
