because updating that damn menu on every page every time i change or add an element is going to totally SUCK. Updating one file, though, i could live with.
Well, put up some images done in Poser on the character rendering page, and updated all the nav so that that stuff doesn't recurse onto the main graphics page now that there's content there.

That's what I ended up doing, and it was a real time-saver. You don't even have to use SSI, you can just link to the javascript externally. I took the whole script, cut and pasted it into a new file that I saved as "menu_creation.js" and then linked to in it all my pages. Makes life so much easier!
