ravencallscrowsYaaaay! I feel good about myself. Ran into an old co-worker on Saturday while he was dj'ing the Merchants of Deva party. Found out he's looking for work in the industry. Got his resume this morning, sent it out to the MS recruiter I know and the two recruiters who fill contract positions here. Both of the latter think they might have something for him, and have responded with thanks for sending them solid referrals.
So, hopefully Riff will have bunches of interviews coming up in the near future and will manage to get hooked up in a decent job.
Yeah, i know. It's not as if it was something i wouldn't do for any of my friends, but it was nice to hear back from the recruiter types so quickly.
In other employment news, Christine should hear if she got the new job she's interviewed for by tomorrow at the latest, which would probably be a good thing for her.
Here, I'm still looking for new positions, but at least i have a good working relationship with my group, unlike my friend Liz, who is developing a really inimical one with hers- and is also looking for something elsewhere.
Anyone else i know need a job? Lemme know....
