Mar. 17th, 2008 10:47 pmRight now, i'm reading Douglas Coupland's Microserfs- a fictionalized account of working at Microsoft. If you've been watching CBC's jPod, you'd find the narrative style very familiar. The scary thing is that it's all too accurate- reading his characters, i know these people. Hmmm, testing at MS after doing a stint with PSS (Product Support Services). Damnit, aside from having been a few years too late, i am these people.
Somedays i so miss working with highly intelligent people in a process which, even though it's broken in many ways still produces working software. I definitely don't miss the stress, the pressures, the never ending work-weeks, though.
