Alexander steals two
Today closed out the Little Rocks session. Today, rather than playing with the full sized stones on a full sheet, the instructors had the kids working on strategy, playing with junior stones on a half sheet. Alexander skipped the boys' rink against the girls, and they won 7-5. Here, in the second end, without the hammer, he plays a draw to the top of the four-foot to lie two, and came away with the steal to go up 4-0 when the opposing skip tried for the takeout and missed his shot in the front of the four-foot, but curled in and also missed the second shot biting on the edge of the eight-foot. I'm not sure if the planned shot was a raised double, or if it was just supposed to be a draw to the button- or even a hit and roll on the second at the edge of the eight.
