Mar. 15th, 2008 10:24 pmToday, i am glad not to be Portland Winterhawks goaltender Kurtis Mucha. In part, it's not having a dumb-ass name like 'Kurtis', which should be off-limits to anyone not an 80's rap 'artist'.
The bigger part is feeling bad for the kid. I think we've seen three Thunderbirds-Portland games this season, and Mucha has been in goal for all of them, and has given up eight or more goals in every damn one of 'em. He also gave up a ten-spot in one of the games in Portland. Tonight, it was 8-2. What's scarier is that he's the goalie with the lowerGAA on the team (at 4.15).
How bad does it have to be for a coach to leave a goalie in who is getting just shelled- eight goals against on thirty shots- five of those on twenty-one through two periods? Anyway, i feel bad for the kid.
