OK, i'm officially amused now.
Dec. 28th, 2003 08:56 pmThe joys of auditory synchronicity!
As has been mentioned here before,
damashita is a fan of the show Charmed. I rarely pay any attention to it at all- not particularly my cuppa tea. Tonight, i caught the opening theme, and it set off a little chain in my head. I knew the song sounded familiar- it's called "How Soon Is Now," and is performed by a band called Love Spit Love, which seem largely unremarkable as a whole, but individually include the original lead vocalist of The Psychedelic Furs.
But i knew i'd heard the song before. At least once. It seemed that male vocals belonged to it, but i also heard a female voice, and knew i had the latter kicking around in mp3 form somewhere, so i went looking around for it.
Turns out the original was a song by The Smiths, which explains the male voice, and that the version i have is from one of
skyewolf1's favourite bands,

Lena and Yulia,
TaTy (official Russian website) or (English version).
I'm past amused now. Cute little Russian lesbians, and for once, in a completely work-safe manner.
