Meanwhile, we sit at work and wait for a new build. Initial impressions are that the developers are somewhat sloppy checking in, or the build process itself is fucked. I'd bet on the latter. We really need someone to do that job- and, as chance has it, currently have an opening for just such a being. Check seattlejobs if you want details about the position.

Our iPod must be a prodigy then, as it's over 2 years old and the battery is going strong. Considering how hard it is to disassemble an iPod safely to get to the battery, I can understand why it costs a lot of money, though I'd bet that price has come down somewhat since this happened.
