I'm actually going to do a Friday Five for once.

1. Do you watch sports? If so, which ones?
Hockey- pretty much religiously. Soccer if particular teams are playing. Football, generally as background noise. Baseball on occasion, generally an inning or so, and rarely just watching- there's almost always something else going on. Curling- it's a great way to spend a weekend late morning snuggled up in bed. Australian Football. Started watching ESPN coverage of this at 2 a.m. weekend mornings while at university. It's a sport that makes more sense when the viewer is intoxicated.

2. What/who are your favorite sports teams and/or favorite athletes?
Detroit Red Wings, Ottawa Senators, Vancouver Canucks, SKA Sankt Petersburg; Glasgow Celtic, FC Bayern München, Arsenal. In general, the Russian and Canadian national teams, except when it comes to European football, when it's Scotland or Germany

Steve Yzerman, Igor Larionov, Pavel Datsyuk, Brendan Shanahan, Nicklas Lidström; Oliver Kahn, Henrik Larsen, John Hartson, Jens Jeremies, Michael Ballack.

3. Are there any sports you hate?
Basketball. Not particularly fond of golf or tennis, either.

4. Have you ever been to a sports event?
Lots- primarily hockey

5. Do/did you play any sports (in school or other)? How long did you play?
Hockey- 13 years. Soccer- 8 years
