I have the best boys. With some help from their mom, the talented and resourcesul damashita, they nearly made me cry with the cards they gave me this morning. After breakfast, they took me to Woodland Park Zoo- we've not been to the zoo in a month and a half or so.

In addition to the year-round favourites—snow leopards and raptors, the seasonal butterfly exhibit is now open.

The joys of a digital camera. A few of the ones taken today (of which these are a sixth or so) have slight color or brightness corrections- mainly due to strongly dominant colours in the foliage.

Even cooler was walking through the exhibit and recognizing flora growing in my front yard. :-D

I have to say, you take wonderful pics! I've got one of yours as my background. I haven't found anything that quite catches my attention the way yours do.

It's the one of the wonderful purple snap dragons, done at night with droplets of water on it. It's just gorgeous. AND it was one that was available full size.

Very pretty. The Roger Williams Zoo up in Providence has a butterfly exhibit right now too (at least I think they still do...) We have a membership and I keep meaning to take the kids but...well...with work and the new house, moving, the Art Exhibit and a possible Illustraton job coming up there's just been *no* time...maybe after we move in I'll be less swamped and can take the kids....
