ravencallscrowsNeil Gaiman reports in his journal that William Gibson is going to stop his blogging, finding the process "incompatible" (Gaiman's word) with being a novellist.
The Guardian has an interesting interview with Gibson talking about the blogging process, the 'Net, and writing. An interesting snippet- interviewer Hamish Mackintosh asks if Gibson sees the internet as becoming more corporate.
I read that as "Commercial, yes; corporate, no." Personally, i agree- at least corporations don't weigh down countless mailboxes with SPAM.

" It hasn't seemed to me like the romantic idea of "anything goes" on the net has made much sense for quite a while. What I see more is an attempt to find a way to make money on the net. No one's managed to catch up with the pornographers yet!"
