First off, the Leafs-Flyers series was an amazingly interesting one to watch.
Secondly, the better team won. The Leafs will now take their whiners, their thugs, their over-rated goaltender, and go home.
Goodbye, and good riddance.
After failing to show up for overtime last night, the Flyers came out and played today, and skated off with a 6-1 victory to take the series in seven games. Toronto's Ed Belfour, who, arguably, kept the Leafs in the series as long as they lasted, had a miserable performance as the Flyers lit him up. His defence corps did nothing to help the situation, but all in all, they'll have the off-season to discuss the liability.
