Well, thanks to a kind offer from [livejournal.com profile] greenshadows, i'm not doomed to having to shoot copy prints for the handful of images which may be worthy of sharing.

Since i talked at length about the Carrie-Sarah similarity, though, i didn't feel that it was right to make you wait to see what i was obsessing about last night, so i did quick copies with a little natural light of the Carrie prints and borrowed a digital one of Sarah:
Carrie I.

Carrie II.

and a "borrowed" one of Sarah. Credit unknown.

I like the first one better than the second...she looks...erm....overdone in the second one but then you said it was '95? Could just have been the look then. Still I like the first one better I think she's much prettier in the first. And yes, the similarity is quite striking :)

The makeup for the two shots is identical- they were from the same session. We had had a client for a modelling comp either cancel last minute or just flat-out not show (can't recall which), and usually the way we shot those was to allow about two hours minimum for each, and the client would work with one or two cosmetologists and at least two different photographers. So we ended up having something like three or four hours on our hands (because of unbooked time), but all had to be there because we'd had an early morning client and had one later that afternoon, so we decided to play to keep ourselves busy while we waited- and it was a good chance to experiment with a few things we wouldn't have necessarily shot on a paying client- so there was some experimental lighting and quite a few angles which ended up turning out quite nicely.

Wow, Carrie looks amazing!...I liked the first two photos very much. :)

The kind offer is reality now...I got a new Epson this morning, 1200x2400dpi and (way cool for me) with 35mm slide adapter! My family's entire history from 1955-1980 is on slides, including my first photographic efforts from the late '70s. WOOT! :b
