Survived another week. Four of the five days this week, i didn't get e-mail with specific assignments from my boss- i'm hoping he's finding micromanaging to just be too damn labour intensive. Anyway, i'm working on some test automation now- nothing fancy, mostly cookie-cutter stuff and modifying this a little here and a little there, but it's doing something other than black-box monkey testing, so it's a very welcome change. Been putting some feelers around too to try to figure out why i'm getting to do this- is the end goal for me to do more SDET work? If so, i'd get a new boss, which would make the Iranian asshole an SEP (Someone Else's Problem), but more importantly, NMP (Not My Problem), and the lead of the automation team seems like a good guy- he's really low key and the people who work for him seem to like him.

Been in a mood to drink and hang out, but of course, no one's around to hang out with. Could just break down and have the heather ale i've been saving for a while, but i don't think i'd want just one drink, and there's not much else in the house, and going out is too much effort presently. So i'm sitting around playing Dungeon Siege, which one of my old bosses- Corey D.- was the senior art lead on, and was conceived by Chris "The Ego That Roared" Taylor of Total Annihilation prominence.

Don't know what the plans for the weekend are, and don't presently care, but hopefully something good will come up.
