It has been a slow long weekend. Nothing amazing really has happened the last few days. Just starting to get things packed to move. Today it was the bookshelves. Eighteen boxes later, they're almost all stashed to go.
Goal is to have the overwhelming bulk of packing done by the 10th. Hopefully we'll get to do the walkthrough Wednesday, and can get on with painting shortly afterwards- looking at greens for the living room and kitchen, purples in our bedroom, and blues in alexander's room.
Kelly and Kayla came over to have dinner with damashita alexander and me- i'd made Neapolitan spaghetti sauce (turtlegrrl13- don't know if you remember Vellegia's, but if you do, you have a pretty fair concept of what this sauce is like). Had a nice dinner with a few glasses of mead (yes, the standard wine with this is usually a Chianti, a Merlot or a Cabernet, but we had some mead, and it's always good).
Mead is a great accompaniment to a romantic evening, but nothing of the sort is happening at present- just watching a cut-to-pieces version of Something About Mary on broadcast TV. There's always hope for later, though. Snuggles would be nice.

Once we get moved and settled, we'll have to have a bunch of people over and i'll feed 'em. I don't cook many things, but the ones that i do i really try to do right. Having been virtually adopted by a family of Italian restauranteurs during university helped- it's where i learned to make this, and i think i do it right.
