A rather nice day at the Seattle Highland Games in Enumclaw. The drive down was pretty miserable- hot and with incomplete directions (thank you, MapQuest- bah!). Met heddo98, her friend mspurplepearl, and transcendence1. Also saw several other SeaGothim in attendance as well.
Caught two performances by Heather Alexander, and picked up the two of her cds we didn't have already.
Changed out of the féileadh-mhór due to the heat (16 oz. wool in temperatures in the 80s Fahrenheit is just really damn warm) by about 3:30- fortunately had brought a change of clothing. Didn't end up heading over to talk to the folks from Slighe about Gaídhlíg, although i'd meant to.
Took a much more direct route home, got Mexican food for dinner, and had a good conversation about relationships and expectations. (What a concept- real communication when things aren't at crisis points). Stopped by the mall and saw Hot Topic was having a half-off clearance sale, and picked up a big stuffed Zim for about $6. Wheee!
Enough babble from me for the night. Going to go read some of Charles de Lint's The Little Country and sleep.

Damn! I have that book and people keep telling me how good it is and how much I'd like it but every time I sit down to read it I can't seem to get past page3!....wonder why.... ahh well, right now I am reading The Sandman: Fables & Reflections, The Cider House Rules and just dove into 800 some odd pages of Harry Potter: The Goblet of Fire (or some such)....maybe next month I'll give it another go.
