OK, i'm tired of complaining about work. So, here's a post of completely non-work related stuff.
Coming Events:
Tomorrow (and every Wednesday): Goth Coffee at the Aurifice. Yaaay! I get to talk to adults about all sorts of things. One of the regular highlights of my week.
Saturday- Seattle Highland Games at the King County Fairgrounds in Enumclaw. Hopefully it'll be cooler, since i've promised to wear my great-kilt, but as long as it's this hot out, i'm really not looking forward to it.
21 August: Great Big Sea, Seven Nations and Young Dubliners in concert at the Paramount. If you like Celtic-flavoured rock, this will be a highly recommended show. Even though it's a Wednesday and will interfere with the regularly scheduled coffee outing, there are guaranteed to be at least two SeaGothim prime for the spotting. Anyone else up for joining us for the show?

Miscellania:
My costumer/seamstress friend Jann is expanding her repetoire. I get to be a guinea pig for the new Utilikilt style garment she's making.
Driving isn't nearly as stressful now that i'm taking the long way as often as possible.
Almost went skating today when i got home, but decided it was still too bloody hot.

Did you know that Utilikilt has started a trade in program, thereby acquiring a stock of used kilts that they sell out of their store? You may want to check and see, but you could possibly get what you want for a bit less money.

The Original in black is nice, but have you seen the Workman's in black? It is really nice. I love my Painter's, partly because of the heavier fabric and larger pockets. A black Workman's is high on my list for number 3. I'm also looking forward to seeing what the chocolate Workman's looks like when it comes out.

Lauren and I found out over the weekend (at the Irish festival) that the Pennsylvania company where we rented the kilts from for the other guys in our wedding is now making a really pitiful knockoff of the Utilikilt. It's the same idea of an everyday wear kilt; solid, muted colours. It doesn't look much different than a traditional kilt in design, though, which results in it looking more like a woman's skirt than something different. Unfortunately their web site doesn't say anything about it, though.
