Today's journal entry comes to you direct from one of [livejournal.com profile] lysana's entries today.
Brenda, the longer i know you, the more i'm beginning to think we're part of a weird Lazarus Long-type experiment and we're the same person in opposite genders. We certainly do seem to think alike and have too many events developing in our lives that correlate too closely to be just coincidence. You wrote exactly what i would have on what's been an otherwise slow news day.

"I find it difficult to write mid-week life updates. I find my own days boring for the most part; why should I expect all of you to pay attention. I read yours, but that's your lives. They aren't mine (or is that the point, he says as he smacks his forehead)." (pronouns changed to avoid offending the broken chromosome in the twenty-third pair of my set)

OK, that settles it. I'm borrowing a routine from a friend of mine. When she finds someone who bears an uncanny resemblance to herself, she dubs the person her clone. Usually it's based on physical resemblance, but not always. And since I'm borrowing the concept, I can mess with it if I want. It's not exactly tradition carried down by centuries of Irish pig farmers.

You are thus and therefore my clone by way of a Russian mad scientist. I say mad because he swapped genders.

Sounds like the genetic exercise from Time Enough for Love. :) Hmmm... i wonder if i owe you 5 years of back-birthday-and-Yule presents. And WingedElf owes you even more! :D Although, more likely, you were cloned from him, as it is (theoretically) possible to duplicate the x- chromosome from the xy pair to create an xx female; whereas creating a y- chromosome from an xx pair would negate the cloning experiment and introduce outside genes. :D

Welcome to the family, Sis!

No, you just break off one of the legs of the second X chromosome in the twenty-third pair and call it good. ;-)
I think our birthdates are close, even- i think i'm older by either ten or twenty-two months (possibly thirty-four?), but since Brenda just lists month and day in her profile, and a gentleman never asks a lady her age, we may never know.
