ravencallscrowsI don't generally put any stock in these things, but I use a portal as a start page which feeds me all sorts of personalized content, based on my birthdate, geographical location, interests and so on. Here was today's horoscope, which i found interesting:
Aries:
Others want to hand you their emotional baggage, and you have no time for it. This may not resemble the popularity you sought, but you should stick by your convictions for your own sanity. Try not to be hostile, despite the great temptation to strike out. Spending your quality time more productively is a good thing, and you're worth it. Bending over backwards all day long will leave you weak and splitting in the middle. Seek your own emotional outlet that doesn't feed off of the kindness of others.
Interesting. I'm not seeking popularity, but i am pretty fully loaded with some folks' emotional baggage and don't have room for much more. I'm finished with striking out at people- not that that's something that happens frequently, but every time it does happen i feel badly afterwards. As for being accomodating, i'm being pretty guarded about offerring blindly, and the people who can ask anything of me know who they are. I'm not sure it's simply an emotional outlet, but a social one also, and it has been a great relief.
Also, my "fortune cookie" for the day:
You are never dull. It is part of your charm to tease and play while at work.
Hehehehehe. Scratch the "while at work" part, and this one fits too. Unless they're not talking about work in an employment sense, in which case it stands pretty well as-is.
