Yes, that's right. If you regularly monitor this location, you've probably seen me rave about GBS before, and lament that they weren't coming closer than Boise.
Well, apparently that has changed. It's still a just-confirmed date, but the Uprooted Tour, featuring Great Big Sea, Seven Nations and Young Dubliners will be stopping at the Paramount Ballroom in Seattle on the 21st of August.
If you like Celtic (or Celtic-tinged) music, let me know, and we'll gather together a group and all go together. We went to the last GBS show in April at the Showbox, and the one before that when they played Bumbershoot- they're really energetic and a lot of fun. I haven't seen 7N since they played in Salem not too long after i moved out here, but their stuff is pretty amazing as well, and they aren't ashamed to play some of the rebel songs. :-)
I'll be expecting to hear from some of you. *looks around to see the usual suspects*
Lysana- looks like the closest they'll be to you (unless something's happened and you and Bob are living up here by then) is the Fillmore in San Francisco on the 13th of August. If I see anything closer to San Jose, i'll keep you posted.
