Just back from Goth Coffee. Talked with a handful of people. More on this later.
After my little movie ticket bitch earlier, i got quite a surprise- my boss stopped by, asked if i got my ticket, i gave him the profanity-free version of what i posted here along with a status report on what had gone on during the day- finally got all the upgrade automation working and run blah blah blah. Stayed late for the now-standard Wednesday testing session, primarily because it makes sense to stay a little late and go right to the Aurifice, rather than wasting a bunch of time in between. Anyway, later he came by and insisted that i take his ticket.
Anyway- met lots of people, mainly thanks to [livejournal.com profile] autumngray aka Stax. I'm probably going to toss out a bunch of "things people don't know about me" in the near future, so consider yourselves forewarned. More later.

Um.... we talked tonight? I was there, I don't remember meeting anyone new... or do I know you already? I remember we mentioned we were going to try to meet at NWCon but didn't meet up...

There *is* a Stax, but she'd probably have a lot more long & beautiful hair than me the curly-locked Pax. :)

We do need to finally meet sometime, Al said you're cool people.

/me laughs, stops, scratches his head, and gets confused, which happens exceedingly easily.
Stax. Stax who's current significant other is Spydr Stax? Stax who was sitting inside working on beading on 22 or 24 gauge sterling wire?

Or have i been talking with the *other* Stax, posts on the crackboards as Stax just thinking that Stax=Stax=AutumnGray.

Damnit, i knew there was a reason my tagline reads "Easily Confused" instead of "Easily Amused."

I'm not Stax. Stax is someone else. :) I've met Stax a couple times in the last 6 years or so, but don't really know her. I know lots of people that do know her well, but we've never had the chance to party to date.

I'm "Pax" -

LOL - easy enough to happen. To make it worse, there's also a Jax. We're all women... and there's a Pax that's a boy.

Pax et Lux,
Autumn

Wow. And the two of you could pass as sisters, assuming the pictures are any representation.
No wonder she didn't know things about me that you've likely either read or otherwise heard from all the usual subjects.

LOL like I said it's easy enough. That picture was deliberately chosen because I knew no one'd recognize me from it unless they already knew me. I wear glasses & a lot of times I brush the curls out. :)

You can brush them out? If i try to do that with mine, i end up with truly Don King-esque frizz- a scary thought. There was a reason behind the start of my collection of unusual hats.

I have to use mousse or a de-frizz agent. My curls are large loose spirals - I can put my hair in a ponytail or braid while they're drying to straighten them until the next time they get damp (or the humidity goes up).

Most hats look horrible on me - I have an unusual hat size (size 7 3/4) for a woman. :( I like hats I can pull down over my forehead & ears. :)

OK, I'm an idiot.

OK. I'm no longer confused, just embarassed. OK, so when are we going to meet- or should i say when am i meeting the 'real' you, as opposed to the one i just *thought* was you.

Well, how about goth coffee next week? I'll be wearing a dark blue velvet "accordion" hat & a red satin blouse with a too-large leather biker jacket over it (like I was last night) and two buttons on my left lapel.

Curly brown hair a little past my shoulders, at least a purse & usually a backpack too.

OK. Consider it a date.
Your choice of which of my odd hats i wear- the blue and black jester's; the purple, red and yellow one i wore this past Wednesday, or the amethyst and forest green Cat in the Hat one. :-)

I forgot & made plans for Weds - I'm going to work on some stuff for lodge to get back into the swing of things, and should probably set that as a slightly higher priority... did you want to put meeting off a week or did you want to get together at the Aurafice some other night to hang out for an hour or few?

Personal spirituality always needs to take higher priority. What about another week- generally, other than Wednesday nights, i don't come into town after work.

Your choice of weeks- they all work about the same for me.

The Aurifice on Capitol Hill (616 Pine, if i recall correctly) in Seattle hosts Goth Coffee weekly. Most of the folk in attendance post on the Seattle.Gothic discussion forum on ezboard- which rocks and is addictive. We don't refer to it as the Crackboard for nothing. Best way to get to the forum, though seems to be to find it via seagoth.org (http://www.seagoth.org) which also has an independent calendar of events in the area. Additionally, i try to get out every other weekend or so, so if you'd be up for clubbing sometime, let me know- it'd be cool to hang with more people i sorta know.
