Jan. 18th, 2002 10:08 pmJust finished the Imbas mail. Seems there's more SPAM than anything else- I get a few real inquiries a week, and just about every piece of SPAM out there. Can't wait do redo the website and modify the email addresses so that they're not so easily spidered. Watching Sex and the City on HBO. Eventually I'll get the names of the characters straight- but haven't yet. The little redhead in the show reminds me so much of our friend Sarah, Unfortunately for her, she's moved to Florida, and, having been there, all I can say is "I'm sorry."
Which brings up a question: how do you tell a friend that s/he is about to make a mistake? It just seemed that moving from the Pacific Northwest to Tampa Bay after her divorce was one of those situations which demanded more thought- it really seemed like a knee-jerk reaction. Hope she's doing well. I think we're the only people from here who are in even semi-regular contact, which may just go to prove that people are, all in all, pond scum. Or maybe the rest of her friends here just thought that she gave up on them, not the other way around. I guess I shouldn't judge their motives
On a completely different page, I'm getting concerned about the future of Imbas. It doesn't seem as if anyone on the council is really doing anything, and I can't get the go-ahead to do things myself until the current owners of various responsibilities relinquish them. So, instead of being productive, I'm sitting waiting, and getting more lethargic with every passing week.
