The company for which i work announced today at the employee meeting that it turned a profit, rather unexpectedly, this year. Rather than doing what many, if not most, companies do and stashing it somewhere, the CEO and president of the company jointly decided to distribute it to the employees.
Not sure how this will work out in the fine details as to how the distribution is weighted (i'd expect less of a share, having only been here for a month), but anything at all comes as a completely unexpected surprise.
