Snowing again. Probably 3-4 inches accumulation so far this evening, and no end in sight.

This complicates things. We're supposed to go to Elric and [livejournal.com profile] treebyleaf's wedding tomorrow, but without an abatement in the precipitation, the roads may be too treacherous to dare venture out, and it's a bit too far to walk. AccuWeather shows that they're predicting the snowfall to continue through 9 p.m. tomorrow evening.

Watching the sunrise at Newgrange, as has become tradition.

Newgrange hasn't had clear enough weather for the interior of the Neolithic chambered cairn to illuminate, unfortunately (they've cut in scenes from last year's, which was spectacular).

Somehow, it seems analogous for the turn this year has taken from Samhain, and oddly appropriate that the passageway would be dark. It's time, however, for that to change. The sunset at Maeshowe, Orkney (webcam here) has some promise, so may that be an augury for a change in the timbre of events.
