Jan. 10th, 2008 07:40 pmSpent most of my post-work time flipping between the Red Wings and Senators games. Fourteen goals scored between the two before the shootouts, and I think I saw four of them, but no more than five. Sens won their shootout, Wings lost in theirs. The more games i see ending in shootouts, the less i like them. It used to be that penalty shots were rare- and as a result significantly more converted by the shooters. Now, they're almost commonplace because of the damn tie-breakers, and, as a result of seeing more of them, much less advantageous to the shooter. Can someone remind me what was so bad about ties?
