(no subject)

One good thing tonight in the States- we'll no longer have to hear who people think will win the Iowa caucuses. I'm so incredibly sick of hearing about Iowa. Is it too much to hope that the American political system gets enough of an overhaul that there'll be something like a national primary/caucus date in the foreseeable future? It's probably too much to ask that we'd have candidates running for office we'd really believe in again, or parties which were at best 'not overly offensive' or 'somewhat less loathsome than the opposition.'

On the positive side, i came home from work to see maighdeanmhara over visiting with damashita. Always good to see either of them. :-)
