Well, Who'da Thunk That?
Apr. 6th, 2006 09:45 amThis was from yesterday. I'm not quite sure why it didn't get posted then, although my suspicions are that i just got occupied with other things and forgot to click the 'Post entry' button.
Half of the department are at an off-site training class for the remainder of the week (the rest will go the first three days of next week), so it's very quiet around the office today.
I'm getting minor amounts of scut work done, but am also working at just keeping the day as low key as possible and not getting too heavily into things. As part of this, i've been poking around on the web a bit, and searched stress calculators. I found two different types- one dealing with events over the recent past (six months to a year in general) and one which deals with emotional factors over the last month. Looking at the first type, the cut-off point for 'being stressed' looks as if it's in the 250-300 range. I score nearly 500, resulting in messages like this: "According to your score, you may be under considerable stress." On the second type, i score a 29, which returns "Very low scores (55 or lower) indicate a high stress load (distress) and a need to make changes to decrease your stress load and improve your health."
