m_cobweb. And a day late to both branwynseye and krautboy.
With assistance, we emptied the hallway today. Nicholas is having a blast now because it echoes without bookshelves to absorb the sound. We did something impetuous and so amazingly unlike us this evening after unloading the furniture and boxes and grabbing some food- we bought a couch ($400 originally, on clearance for less than half that) and a new (king-sized) bed frame, somewhere between a sleigh bed and mission-style. Tomorrow, mattress shopping before hockey practice. Anyone interested in buying the black, wrought-iron queen, either with or without mattress and boxspring is welcome to make an offer.
Well, maybe it wasn't so impetuous after all- we'd looked at this particular bed six months or so ago, and we've been talking about upgrading to a larger one for probably four years now; and the couch is something we needed for the place since we're not moving the one we have currently- it's heavy, shopworn and just a monster.
