Tuesday after work we go sign the papers for the new place, and can then start shuttling things there. Wheeee! I think, anyway. One way or another, it'll be fine once we're done.

Plans will be forthcoming for things like Stanley Cup playoff viewing parties- right now the pairings would be Ottawa-Montreal, Detroit-Edmonton, so we should get CBC for all of them, and probably Ken Kal and Mickey Redmond on Centre Ice for at least some of the Wings games. The new place is big enough that we'll have crash space for anyone who comes and wants to indulge in a few more adult beverages than would make driving prudent- so if you're reading this and a hockey fan in the greater Seattle area, consider this something of a notification.

We'll also have room for music-type things for folks who might be interested in doing a Newfoundland-style kitchen party or ceilidh. Allowing these events to overlap is probably less than optimal, though.

We all went to the Seattle Thunderbirds - Spokane Chiefs game with [livejournal.com profile] ravenlaughing this evening. The boys representing Spokanistan won for [livejournal.com profile] hockeypuck_74 (Jon, you better manage to make at least one of the Wings games at our new place. Now that there's room and you wouldn't have to drive into the city, you have no excuses. We're eight blocks from Olympicview), largely courtesy of Bryan Bridges having a really off night and yielding five shakey goals before getting yanked (shots were 11-1 in favour of Seattle with four minutes left in the first, and the home squad trailing 1-0).

In spite of the outcome of the game, there was a fair bit of winning- [livejournal.com profile] ravenlaughing won dinner for two at a local restaurant, courtesy of having an Eli Grossmann autographed scorecard, and because the boys wanted to participate in the Chuck-a-Puck competition and i relented and bought one for each of them and one for both [livejournal.com profile] damashita and [livejournal.com profile] ravenlaughing, [livejournal.com profile] scootercomputer's ended up being the one which landed in the appropriate place to earn entry into a drawing for $500.\

Head still hurts from getting hit in the nose yesterday. On one level, that feels ridiculous, since there's only minor bruising visible; but what can't be seen is probably what's making it hurt.
