darkmuffin out geocaching. We've had better days caching- having only found one of three caches, but in part the conditions were against us. The afternoon turned chilly and rainy, and getting a position fix accurate only to double digits makes for a lot of looking around. The one we did find was during a break in both the rain and cloud cover, and with a 4 metre accuracy on our position- which made the cache much more easily located. I'm sure we were close to one of the other ones, but with an 11 metre fix we'd have been left with quite a lot of rock wall to search for a container which wasn't described. We'll have to try that one again on a dryer day. The third one we got within about 50 metres, again with double digit accuracy, but at that point we were both pretty thoroughly cold and wet, and decided to call it a day, rather than trudge around more in a downpour with moderate winds making it feel significantly colder than it probably was. Still, we had fun at it, and as the weather continues improving, we'll have to get out searching more often.
