Oct. 9th, 2005 06:45 pmI'm missing one of
greenshadows and A.'s legendary dinners, having felt somewhat under the weather most of the day. Instead, i'm having tomato soup with
scootercomputer, and probably putting the latter to bed shortly after he eats. Theraflu and 600 mg of ibuprofen will touch the sinus headache in a way that the earlier appplication of ibuprofen alone didn't.
Looking at my fantasy league hockey team, it's easy to tell what teams i follow: the Red Wings lead with seven players on the roster (Datsyuk, Draper, Yzerman, Zetterberg, Dan Cleary, Lidstrom and Jiri Fischer), followed by the Senators with three (Marty Havlat, Bochenski and Chris Phillips). Other than a pair of Devils, there's no other team with more than one representative. Goal is a point of concern- the only starter who ended up on my roster was Olaf Kolzig, who i dropped since the C[r]apitols are going to get shelled more nights than not. Niittymaki from Philadelphia may supplant Esche as the starter there, or may be the 1a to Esche's 1 spot, but should be stable enough. Such is the downside of missing the draft and having only rated players with whom i'm really familiar (my top 25 were Wings, Sens, Martin Brodeur and Markus Naslund).
Back to work tomorrow. Can't say i'm looking forward to it. It'll be nice to have the reorg complete and get moving in whatever direction comes from it rather than having that hanging like a Damocletian sword (even if my position is pretty much all but certain to only improve).
