Sep. 2nd, 2005 09:38 pmToday featured a work outing with most of the Technology department in Seattle, and a few of the Ft. Worth folk who were in town. We went on a three hour cruise in Elliott Bay. Usually, morale events tend to be cheesy crap, but this was actually pretty nice. It was both nice to be able to hang out with some co-workers away from work and to be able to take advantage of a really pretty day on Puget Sound.
And, to improve matters even more, although some people had quite a bit to drink, no one seems to have had enough to be completely obnoxious to the majority of folk on-board.
Didn't do a Friday morning sing in the office as a result of the event, which may be a good thing, since, given my morbidly black sense of humour, part of the programme would have been The Tragically Hip's "New Orleans is Sinking."
