Let's see.... mid-day update:
damashita took her car to the Volvo dealer for an estimate to give to the county's insurance. The dealership notices some things no one else did, including minor displacement of the left front quarter panel and damage to the bumper cover, and estimated the work at....
over $1200.
I'm thinking we settle at letting Metro pay that amount and give us year-long bus passes, and i super-glue the three pieces of plastic back together.

Overnight, i had one of the handful of dreams i remember on waking each year. They're really rare- i'd estimate no more than a half-dozen a year on average. It's a harbinger of hockey season. In the dream, I was playing right wing on a power play unit- mainly in practice, and setting up on the half-boards taking pucks cycled out of the corners and feeding a blueliner in the high slot while the forward who didn't make the pass out went to the net. Watched lots of pucks end up in backs of nets.
