OK, folks, since the original commission fell through on the bowtie collar, does anyone on here have an interest in it. If so, drop a comment and name your price. It's just under a pound (probably 350-400 grammes) of blackened stainless steel, so shipping shouldn't be unbearable for anyone not local.

I do have someone interested vaguely- [livejournal.com profile] damashita and i went out to Starbucks crafting after the boys were asleep, and while there i wove another 14 or so inches of that style and size and had interest from one of the barristas there (interestingly enough, the amount finished would have made a just about perfect fit for her). Also playing with a few different styles and weaves. Got a start on [livejournal.com profile] skyewolf1's piece, but i'm not sure i like what i have so far to continue with it- or abandon it and work or a different weave.

Hey, [livejournal.com profile] skyewolf1— what do you think about this?

Imagine that in black and silver, all stainless steel. Black rings are joined to black rings by silver ones, and to silver ones by black ones. Just visually replace the red with silver and you get the idea. Oh- and the very centre black one has a smaller black one nested inside it, this time with black rings.

Hodo, a variant form which is drawn from Japanese 8-in-1 and Japanese 4-in-1. All rings are stainless steel, 12 gauge, 7/16" big rings; the rest are all ¼ 14 (silver and black) and 16 gauge (black only). I'll get a picture of the work in progress in the next day or so.
