Leafs' stick fouls have turned a 2-1 Toronto lead into a 3-2 Ottawa lead. Hook someone from behind enough to knock him off-stride (a la Michael Renberg on Peter Bondra), sit in the box for two minutes or less. Slash someone hard enough to break a stick (a la Bryan McCabe nine seconds later), you can sit for tow or less as well. Then when Redden and Hossa score on the powerplay, don't whine about it.

The NHL really needs to put a team back in Winnipeg. Not only because hockey belongs in places like Winnipeg and Quebec City, but for the headline factor. Just imagine a franchise going back to Manitoba, and assuming the name of the departed one. Then the first time they played in San Jose and a series of fights broke out, it could be the first time since West Side Story that the Sharks and Jets had a rumble....
