Gah!
We have new sheets on our bed. They're nice and comfy. Found a clearance sale at Fred Meyer, so picked up two sets of sheets- the first we've bought in about six years. Two sets- so we each picked one from the patterns available (no solids- guess they all sold out at regular price). I picked off-white with multicoloured flowers on them. damashita picked a really vibrant rainbow tie-dyed pattern. Want to guess which set are on the bed? The colours are so intense on these i'm surprised the damn things don't glow in the dark.

Heading to Mt. Vernon today for the Tulip Festival Street Fair, so will be out much of the day. Will have the mobile phone on in case anyone wants to reach us, say, people who live in the Valley.

Another memorable quote from the CBC's Chris Cuthbert, this time commenting on a high sticking penalty called against Lubomir Sekoracs of the Minnesota Wild in overtime against the Vancouer Canucks. Vancouver's Trent Klatt would score on the ensuing powerplay to win the game. "I don't know what he was thinking. His stick wasn't anywhere near the puck, so it's not that he tried to bat it out of the air and missed. It's more like there was a pretty girl in the stands and he just got distracted for a moment."

Yup. Sounds likely to me. Guys get distracted by pretty girls. Guys get benched by their coaches for taking bonehead overtime penalties.
