Perimeter Security!
Mar. 25th, 2003 07:30 pmTaking a page from the US military, we secured our yard today by putting up a fence around it- more to keep alexander in than to keep others out, but keeping the one neighbourhood dog which is rarely if ever on a leash out of the yard is just a bonus.
Taking a second page from the US military, there is a break in our perimeter- i didn't do the fencing at the back of the house, due to exhaustion, nightfall and being just plain done with working on the damn thing.
Next step, aside from finishing the back, will be to plant vining type plants along the fenceline, so that it looks like a fence covered in, say Hedra helix instead of just run of the mill 14 gauge galvanized steel.
Thanks to
damashita for her assistance, and big thanks to next door neighbour J. for his help.
