6:40. Still home. More accurately, home again. First trip into town ended prematurely in Marysville, when the alternator belt broke. This would be the same alternator belt replaced by the mechanic on Friday when the defective alternator was replaced. I'm guessing the tension was off just a bit, and it just snapped the belt. Needless to say, we're not driving to Capitol Hill and back relying solely on battery power.
Fortunately, A. and K. had offerred to let us use their car on Friday when ours refused to start. So we drove back from Marysville, verified the offer still stood, drove to their place in Clear Lake, picked up their spare car, drove to the mechanics, left our car there, then back home to get dressed for going to the club tonight (original plans involved stopping by![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
damashita's "second mom's place (next door to what should be our new place in 45 days or so) to change for clubbing after damashita had time to prowl through the racks at Venus on the Hill.
So, even though our vehicle is temporarily out of service, we're still going out tonight. Not sure yet if we're picking upstaxxy but figure we'll hear from her fairly soon if her friend and originally planned transportation provider isn't able to go after all.
Planning on taking a bit of ibuprofen before we leave to try to placate body parts still a bit annoyed from Thursday's walk so that they don't complain too much if i engage in dance therapy (which sounds like a good idea at present).
