(no subject)

It's really odd not to have to be at work in the middle of the week. Odd in a good way. Coffee last night, as per the standard Wednesday night traditions. Met Heather (heddo98 before coffee for ice cream and a wander through some of the clothing stores on the Hill. Saw some truly scary things in one retro/rehabilitated fashion store. No one could possibly look good in the fuchia (or were they magenta?) vinyl hot pants we saw, and there were some other horrific displays of the opposite end of the spectrum from haute couture.
Rather a smaller crowd at coffee than usual- with the all-ages KMFDM show taking some, and summer vacations taking others.
Adjourned to the Merc right about nine, and promptly proceeded to lose track of time. Did a bit of energy work for a few people, had a good talk with David/Beowulf about the transitionary progress toward a market economy in the Russian Federation, and an equally good one with Sarah/mediavore about movies and really cool, albeit slightly toxic apartments. Ended up leaving far later than planned.
Got up this morning and went to see Men In Black II (in costume- hey, i own black slacks, jacket and tie and a white dress shirt, and it amused me to do so) with damashita and alexander. Funny film, and worth seeing, in my opinion. It's closing in on nap time now. Mmmm. Nap good.....
