Well, dear friends, i've been writing again. Didn't do anything on Melpomene's Daughter although there's still quite a bit of work to be done on it. Instead, i had a bit of verse kicking around in my skull which kept rattling around until i let it out.
More precisely, two poems. The first one should be pretty self-explanatory; the second is yet another attempt to capture something in verse about the Morrigan.
I'm breaking my tradition of having to like something the next day in order to share it- i'm not going to pass judgement on either of these two aside from noting that the second one isn't quite powerful enough for its subject, and may either get completely scrapped or become an early evolutionary form that gets reworked and revised until it's significantly stronger than it is now.
Without further ado, then, i present "Night" and "Phantom Queen":

Night

From within the void
Between dusk and dawn
A special energy flows
Dark and brooding
Primal, nocturnal
Manifest in eyes of unfettered passion.

Whether slowly, gently
Or heeding a more frenetic
Urgent call
Rising through quickened breath
As pleasure following pleasure
Together in that place
They commune in the moment with the Divine.

Phantom Queen
Primal, visceral,
Majestic in her way-
The fire of passions in Her blood.
She is
The awesome Queen in battle,
The impassioned kiss
At the moment of death,
The wanton desire in a lover's eyes
At the point of release.
She is
Terrible and wonderful,
Manifest sovreignty
The she-wolf guarding her young,
The raven fluttering over fallen prey.

It has been a quiet, reasonably restful day. Posted the two poems which debuted here in the poetry section of my website, contemplated authoring a bit more content- there are still sections which are devoid of information, but didn't summon the energy to do so. Sat and read a bit, played with alexander, and generally did very little that had any lasting significance of any sort. In short, there's nothing anything interesting to see here, people. Move along.
