Damnit, forgot to pick up my contacts this morning. As things go, though, it's just a minor annoyance. This morning started well enough, but then it had to be "go to work time" which sorta ruined it. How dare work get in the way of other things? That's it, I'm becoming independently wealthy so that I can afford to be shallow.
Well, it's a short week. Just through Thursday this time, and then mini-vacation through next Tuesday. The highlight of the time off will probably be the Merchants of Deva party at Norwescon- it's the only thing really on the agenda for the whole time off, now that we're not doing the whole con thing (thanks to unexpected car repairs).
Christine stopped by last night to have some mehindi work done and to hang out- she's described what she's planning on wearing Saturday, and all I can say is *yum*- sounds really interesting. Damnit, there i go being shallow again.

I need to sort my music at work. Variety is good, but sometimes there are really really odd segues between songs, and the whiplash factor is somewhat akin to jumping off a speeding train into a wall of half-set Jello.
Today's entry in the *this shouldn't ever happen* music mix:
  • Dead Kennedys- Too Drunk to Fuck
  • Siouxie and the Banshees- Kiss Them for Me
  • Sons of Maxwell- Oceanside Again (this is Nova Scotian folk music)
  • Liz Phair- Flower
  • Great Big Sea- Consequence Free
  • Nine Inch Nails- Down In It
My head is now spinning. That was just too damn weird a series to get in contiguous order. Randomize is usually my friend, and it keeps me from memorizing entire playlists in order, but this was too odd. Transitioned out of NIN to a live Tori song, and then things get back to a bit more normal.
