Mar. 19th, 2002 09:51 amHad a really tough time getting out of bed this morning. Almost definitely due to a particular little boy waking up and hammering on the bedroom door at 3 and 5:30 a.m., but he want back to bed without too much trouble. Still, it was that whole "awake and vertical" thing going on, and that has the unfortunate tendency to really mess with sleep patterns.
Traffic was surprisingly light this morning. It's always more fun to be here when the building is nearly empty. Traded mail with revseandoe and our mutual old boss Bob about the New York Rangers acquisition of Pavel Bure- a nice guarantee that the Blueshirts will miss the NHL playoffs yet again, because the last thing they need is another multi-million dollar player with star potential who won't contribute in his own defensive end.
Thought while I was sending mail to Bob, I might see what sort of non-entry level positions he has or can engineer. A senior technical writer slot, even a staff trainer gig wouldn't be outside my comfort zone, especially if Bob wants me to come back enough to actually pay me what I'm worth.
