(no subject)

Back at work. Not overly happy with it, but there are things which are necessary evils, and at present, Office is one of them.
I've figured it out- i don't really want to work, but would rather just be well-enough off that i could dabble in whatever happened to interest me at the time for as long as it did. ;-)
As if that's going to happen any time soon. Actually, I'd just be happy, at least for the foreseeable future, doing something where creativity was encouraged or at least valued, which is i think by definition outside of testing.

Flipping through other people's LJs. Guess that makes me a real voyeur, eh? Well, probably not, because for the most part, all I'm getting is a reminder at how trivial most people's lives are- not that mine is any better- and how stupid humanity in general is. I've probably flipped through 50 journals through selective application of the "Random" link, and maybe seen two who's authors seemed in the least interesting.
On the flip side, I'm way less depressed than I was, simply because there are people who are waaaaay more depressed than I am, or at least tell a story of being that way. Makes me wonder how these people are functional.
Oh, yeah. If I see one more journal with fuschia background and light pink text, I'm gonna scream and throw something. Ditto for one more journal written by someone who's functionally illiterate. Worshiping everything Hot Topic is also dropping like a stone albatross on my list of things attractive in a person.
Anyway.... Enough ranting about LJ. I really like the service, and being able to vent my little pointless rants whenever they pop into my mind.
At some point this was going go get to something, but i've been rambling so long now i can't remember what i was planning to write about initially. Maybe later. Gee, that sounds like when I'll get back to working on my story.
Must get a resume thrown together to send off to Ron and Shelley's company. Who knows- maybe they're paying a little better than they used to (since they'd have a hard time paying worse...)
