After getting an emergency support call from

damashita's sister Tari just a few minutes before we were scheduled to head out to meet with

greenshadows and A. at a Meetup for folks with an interest in the Howard Dean campaign. Ended up getting off the phone with Tari about a half hour after we were supposed to leave, and, as it turned out, it was probably for the best- reports say the place was both packed and intolerably hot. Instead, nicholas and i went off to the Aurifice for Goth Coffee. If you're local and were in attendance, you had a chance to meet the little guy, who was his little smiley, happy, observe-everything-with-attention self until he started getting sleepy a little after 9.

Spent most of the evening talking with

mockly and Tara B. and watching nicholas do cute baby stuff, including dancing for a bit (like his father and older brother, he seems to like Apop). Little guy has an inclination to be a charmer- he was blowing kisses at various points during the evening at both of our aforementioned tablemates.
