ravencallscrowsThe good news: I have a phone interview tomorrow for a QA gig- and an off-site one (read: telecommute daily!) at that.
The bad news: I can't find a damn thing about the company with which the position is. I know the name of the company- Instant Effects, Inc., but searching on the web for the company name returns nothing. Searching on the name of the interviewer yields little more information- i knew the company was in the San Francisco area, but now find it more likely to be in San Geronimo, in Marin County, which puts it about a half-hour or so from the Golden Gate Bridge. Useless information with which to go into an interview, but all that i can find. Apparently the person with whom i'll be interviewing used to work at discreet- a company which makes products including 3ds max, one of the leading products used in the creation of computer games, but it's not clear if there's any connection presently. Although it'd be neat if it were a division of the same company, as i have a little experience with 3ds max and a bit more with gmax, a version distributed as free-ware to the games modification community.
