OK, so the transparency effect isn't quite perfect yet, and it lacks a little rounded feel, but it has been fun to play with.

Last year, Apple released OS X. It featured a number of icons and things done in a style called Aqua- they were bright, shiny widgets which looked like they were coloured glass filled with water. Kinda like this:



Sort of a neat effect. But for a while, lots of people were doing things in Aqua, so they were a little cliched. I had the idea of mixing that sort of design with one of those executive stress-reliever toys where you can see the waves in something liquid as you move it. So L'eau is my spin on Aqua- instead of having an even gradient, it's got a little swirl to it.
